Costa Coffee, the UK’s favourite coffee shop and part of Whitbread plc, today announced plans to open its first store in Morocco, in partnership with Fawaz A. Alhokair & Co.
Costa Coffee is the second largest coffee shop chain in the world, with over 2,700 stores across 30 countries, including over 1,600 stores in the UK and over 300 in China. Costa Coffee has entered into a franchise agreement with Fawaz A. Alhokair & Co., with the aim of opening the first Costa Coffee store in Casablanca in early 2014.

In the past five years, Costa Coffee has grown rapidly, opening on average 150 international stores every year. In 1999 Costa Coffee opened its first international store at the Aviation Club, Dubai and it now has over 1,000 international stores, having extended its reach further into Europe, Middle East, North Africa, India, China and South East Asia.
Costa continues to grow in to new markets integrating local tastes and preference, in order to continually deliver an unbeatable coffee experience to customers across the world.
